Hi I'm Helen Mulligan and I founded Tilia Garden Design in 2015. Based in High Barnet, North London I decided to retrain as a garden designer after working for many years in marketing for a large publishing and events company. Previously trained in theatre and dance, I'm now happy to be returning to a more creative role and connecting with nature.

I believe in creating beautiful outdoor spaces that are in harmony with nature and as the lead designer, I'm passionate about sustainability and caring for the environment. My team takes pride in using organic gardening techniques and avoiding harsh chemicals. And you can trust us, we won't use fake grass in any of our garden designs!

A Capel manor trained garden designer, I have a Level 3 Diploma in Garden Design, I'm a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers and a Gardeners Guild Consultant Member CMGG. The minimum acceptance criteria for gardeners who want to be listed in the Gardeners Guild Consultants category is among the highest in horticulture. These qualifications and affiliations are a testament to my ongoing commitment to excellence in garden design and planning.

2024 is an exciting year for me as I have just launched my Tilia Garden Maintenance service providing skilled garden maintenance and expert advice to my clients via my team of gardeners.
