Sustainable natural gardens that nurture the soul.

Tilia Garden Design was founded in 2016 by Helen Mulligan and is based in High Barnet, North London. She decided to retrain as a garden designer after working for many years in marketing for a larger publishing and events company. Previously trained in theatre and dance, she is now happy to be returning to a more creative role and connecting with nature.

Helen has always been fasciated by the emotional reaction we all have to nature spaces and gardens and now more than ever people are appreciating the need for some outside space to have a moment of calm in, entertain friends or play with the kids. Helen's aim is to work closely with every client to help them achieve their perfect outside space, be it a small balcony or a large garden.

Helen is passionate about sustainability and caring for environment, all garden work and maintenance is organic with no harsh chemicals used. You won't find a single design featuring fake grass either!

The Gardeners Guild (TGG) is a national trade network for qualified gardeners.  Established in 2006, TGG maintains a register of certified gardeners who offer garden and grounds maintenance as part of their services.  TGG provides you with greater assurance when selecting a gardener.  TGG members must hold at least one government endorsed horticultural qualification and are required to abide by the terms of membership.  As a client of Tilia Garden Design you can be confident that you have chosen a TGG member who has been officially trained and formally assessed to meet high horticultural standards.
